Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom, period house is situated at Vindolanda, close to Hadrian’s Wall and the former Vindolanda Roman fort. Set in private, lawned gardens, where you can celebrate your special occasion or simply savour the good company of your nearest and dearest out in the sunshine, the property is in an excellent location for exploring both Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests are also welcome to bring their four-legged friends along to enjoy the stay. Step into this beautifully decorated retreat to find yourselves in a welcoming reception hall with a flagstone floor. Make your way through to the generous, farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to put the kettle on so everyone can enjoy a cup of tea with the cake you have just baked in the Aga. Gather round the table in here too for meals and watch the Smart TV while you are chopping and dicing. Head through to the lounge to light the wood burner in the inglenook fireplace and enjoy its warmth as you watch one of your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. This room adjoins a library, where you can unwind quietly with your holiday novel or open the French doors to the garden. Also at the ground-floor level are a utility room and a WC. All four beautiful bedrooms are up on the first floor of the farmhouse. One step up from the landing leads to a sumptuous super-king-size, while another step up takes you to a twin with an extra child’s trundle bed. There are also two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom is at this level. Take in the country views from the garden as you bask in the sunshine or light the BBQ. There is private parking here for three cars.
