Overview

Take a trip with your family to Edlingham. This 19th century cottage is a great place to spend time with your loved ones and go on adventures. You’ll be in a small village with easy access to the coast and Northumberland National Park, plus plenty of castles and interesting history along the Scottish border. Walk in through the hall and come to a spacious lounge. The history of the building is shown through the exposed brick and beams, and the area can be heated with a multi-fuel burner. To one side there’s an alcove/sunroom with French doors, which fill the area with natural light. Continue to the kitchen/diner, where you’ll find everything you need to pack picnics or make hearty meals after a fun day. Go upstairs for the bedrooms and family bathroom. This property has three bedrooms: one king-size for the adults, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom which would suit children and a teenager. The family bathroom has a shower over the “L”-shaped bath and a Bluetooth mirror. At the rear of the property there’s a garden enclosed by a wooden fence with a mature lawn and shrubs. On sunny afternoons you can relax at the outdoor seating area. Edlingham is a quiet spot, perfect for families. Adventurers should visit Edlingham Castle, 0.5 miles away. It’s a 14th century ruin with a fortified manor house and beautiful views of the river. If you need supplies, head to Alnwick (6 miles), or go to Amble (13.5 miles) a coastal town with plenty of nautical charm and wildlife. Finish the holiday with a day out in Northumberland National Park, 12.5 miles away.
