To the west, Pickering (7 miles) is a picturesque town and home to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, offering a memorable steam train ride through the stunning moorlands. Other local attractions include Flamingo Land, Eden Camp Modern History Museum, Cawthorn Roman Camp and North Yorkshire Water Park, all within 12 miles.
