Situated between Coniston Water and Windermere, this delightful stone cottage makes a fantastic base for a small family or a couple exploring a breathtaking part of the Lake District. With pretty views of the village and the surrounding countryside, and close to both Grizedale Forest and Esthwaite Water, the cottage is ideal for keen walkers and cyclists discovering the area’s stunning lakes, fells and woodlands. Entering this bright and refreshing property, the colourful and delightfully cosy lounge makes a lovely space to unwind in, with a TV/DVD, plenty of seating and an inset wood burner. The dining room is a relaxing room to share a meal in and has a selection of books and board games to play. The stylish and fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking all your favourite meals. There’s also a handy ground-floor shower room. Going upstairs, you will find two fresh and cheerful bedrooms: a king-size room that has a feature fireplace and views of the village green, and a sweet single room that overlooks the village. Heading outside from the dining room, the pretty patio garden looks out towards the village church, has plenty of outdoor furniture and makes a wonderful space for dining alfresco on a sunny afternoon. Satterthwaite is a picturesque village with a welcoming pub and is close to Esthwaite Water (1.5 miles), Windermere (4.5 miles) and Coniston Water (8 miles). Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre (1.5 miles) offers plenty of cycling routes, a sculpture trail, a children’s play area and a Go Ape climbing centre. Carron Crag (2.5 miles) has splendid views of The Old Man of Coniston (9.5 miles). Also nearby are Tarn Hows, Wray Castle and Hawkshead (all within 7 miles).
