There’s a pretty dining suite where you can chat as culinary masterpieces are created on the electric Aga, and when it’s time to unwind the lounge area has a choice of sofas and a TV/DVD. Enjoy chilled-out evenings by the wood burner, or sit in the enclosed courtyard garden where there’s a charcoal BBQ for fresh-air dining. Walkers will love this location – the surrounding country lanes are ideal for a gentle stroll and there are miles of National Park and moorland to explore. Just a mile away the small town of Chagford circles an octagonal Market House known as the Pepperpot; close by are fine granite buildings, independent shops and galleries plus a choice of friendly pubs, tearooms, cafes and a deli to take the hard work out of any self-catering holiday. Just 3 miles from your doorstep dramatic Castle Drogo overlooks the Teign Gorge, a dog-walking haven of over 1,000 acres.
