Just 1 mile to the popular resort of Bude via canal paths and 2 miles to Lower Upton via the South West Coast Path, it's a great base from which to explore the stunning Cornish coastline. Enjoy sunny lunches drinking in endless countryside views, cosy nights in front of a DVD, plus plenty of options for days out exploring including the local wetland nature reserve, only 2 miles away. The vast garden is the highlight of this house, whether for children to play in or simply to relax in with a forgotten book. With mature trees giving ample shade, it's the perfect spot for a picnic. You'll be met with rolling countryside views from not only the garden but also the kitchen and lounge, with doors opening into the garden if you want to dine alfresco. The decor is cosy and nostalgic; a comfortable haven in which to tuck yourselves away. Walk the coast path from Upton (just over a mile away) to the historical landmark of Compass Point. Head into Bude for excellent seafood restaurants, or perhaps a swim in Bude Tidal Swimming Pool, a semi-natural sea pool which is ideal when the conditions of the Atlantic swell are too wild. Sunbathers and surfers should head to Summerleaze Beach and to Widemouth Bay with its fantastic surf academy. A little-known secret is that the area is also brilliant for sea fishing and golf.
