Make your way into the barn, which adjoins another holiday home, and enter to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/diner, with beams and white-washed stone walls. Settle on the comfortable seating in the lounge area to rest and recuperate after your latest hike or to while away cosy evenings together in front of your favourite programme on TV. Stroll through to the kitchen, which is next to the dining area, to brew cups of tea to enjoy with a slice of delicious Lake District gingerbread.
