This rural bolthole for two sits on the edge of the pretty village of Preston-on-Wye, with direct access to the River Wye. The property sits within the grounds of a campsite, and guests are welcome to use the facilities, hire canoes, or purchase a day permit for coarse fishing. Walkers can join the nearby Wye Valley Walk or the Offa’s Dyke Path to explore the local landscape, while for shopping and eating out, Hay-on-Wye is just 12 miles away. The detached barn conversion is bright and airy, with an open-plan layout and contemporary decor and furniture. The main living space is a lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can cook up a storm in the sleek kitchen area and share romantic dinners at the table by the window. In the evenings, snuggle up on the sofa to watch a classic movie on the Smart TV. A stylish bathroom completes this level. An elegant, spiral staircase leads to the first floor, where you’ll find a beautiful double bedroom set in the eaves. For waterside picnics or a spot of wild swimming, wander down to the riverside ‘beach’, The Warren. The walking opportunities in the area are endless, with tracks and trails to follow through the Black Mountains, Begwyn Hills, and Wye Valley (all within 20 miles).
