For celebratory meals, there’s a beautiful dining area with leather chairs and an eye-catching pendant light. This lovely space flows through to the kitchen, where everything is provided to make whipping up holiday meals as easy as pie. When you feel tired, head upstairs to the three gorgeous bedrooms – two king size (one with an en-suite shower room) and a twin – and the family bathroom. Stepping outside, the spacious patio, from which you can see the steam trains puffing past, is a great spot for a morning coffee or a hearty supper, or simply sitting back and admiring the extraordinary views. The cottage sits on National Trust land, in the centre of picturesque Beddgelert. Wander round the village’s shops, pubs, and places to eat – don’t miss the oldest ice-cream parlour in Snowdonia. The Rhyd Ddu path that leads to the summit of Snowdon is 3.5 miles away, and within 8 miles you can go underground at the Sygun copper mine, take a trip on the Welsh Highland Railway, tour Plas Brondanw Gardens, visit fascinating Portmeirion or spend the day at Criccieth with its castle and beaches.
