This lovely cottage is in the charming market town of Ludlow in Shropshire. Ludlow is a popular destination for holidaymakers looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway. The town centre (1 mile) is well known for its gourmet food and drink with some fantastic eateries and pubs that all champion local ingredients. Ludlow has a rich history that is reflected in the stunning architecture and is home to over 500 listed buildings. Enjoy a stroll through the ancient town centre and be sure to visit the stunning medieval castle. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and provides many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and fishing. The cottage is within easy reach of many other popular destinations including the UNESCO heritage site at Ironbridge (25 miles) and the traditional market town of Bridgnorth (18 miles) with the country’s oldest and steepest funicular railway or explore the National Trust’s Berrington Park (9 miles) and Croft Castle (10 miles). After a busy day exploring the town, head back to your wonderful retreat and head straight into the homely lounge. Enjoy a movie on the Smart TV or curl up on the sofa in front of the log burner with a good book. Continue through the lounge and into the fully equipped kitchen. Here you will find everything you need for a self-catered stay, ideal for those evenings when you want to get creative in the kitchen using some of the great local produce the region has to offer. The main outdoor space to this property is the garden to the front which is enclosed and has garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ for you to use. This is a fantastic space to enjoy a drink or some food alfresco with views across to the local church. To the rear of the property is a useful shed which is used as the utility room with access to a washer/dryer and full size fridge/freezer, perfect for those longer stays in Ludlow. The cottage is on a row and there is on street parking at either end at no charge, but is subject to availability.
