Escape to this stone cottage converted from a former mill, on a fabulous complex totalling 11 properties. This peaceful property is detached and set apart, offering two bedrooms for one or two couples or maybe a small family – plus don’t forget to bring up to two dogs to join in the holiday fun. You’ll all love the fact that it’s near the beach; Polperro and Polruan are both within 4 miles along the rugged Polperro Heritage Coast, while dog-friendly Lansallos Beach is a great option for walkies. This characterful cottage is accessed via its own pathway and entrance. Its quirky ‘upside down’ configuration (bedrooms downstairs) takes full advantage of the stunning countryside views. On the ground floor, you’ll find one cosy king-size and one twin bedroom that can also be a super-king-size upon request. Both have low, beamed ceilings, with lots of wooden accents for a relaxing feel. Upstairs, snuggle up under the beamed apex ceiling in the open-plan lounge area with its wood burner and exposed stone. Through the dining area, you’ll come to the fully equipped kitchen for rustling up holiday feasts. Outside, there’s a garden with a furnished patio and BBQ as well as shared access to the main garden and 7-acre grounds. There are stacks to do on this complex, with an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and games room. Or wander the wonderful woodland and wildflower meadows. Little ones will love the play park, while furry friends are catered for with a dog exercise field and a warm shower! This could come in handy after a walk along the South West Coast Path, accessible nearby. Visit Fowey (4.5 miles), a classic Cornish fishing town once home to Du Maurier. If you don’t fancy driving, get there via foot ferry from Polruan – an adventure in itself.
