This cottage offers beautiful accommodation for four people, a short stroll from the popular Lakes village of Windermere. The bright open-plan living/dining room is wonderfully welcoming, complete with wood burner, it's the perfect place for a bit of R&R, and the chef du jour is sure to love the well equipped modern kitchen. Over the first and second floors there are two gorgeous king-size bedrooms (the top floor bedroom can be made up as a twin on request), a luxurious family bathroom with roll-top bath as well as a delightful bonus snug. Outside you'll find a charming enclosed patio with garden furniture to take advantage of those sunny days. Head into Windermere village for a look around the local independent shops. Be sure to take advantage of the great choice of pubs, bars and restaurants on the doorstep - you could try a different one every night! Lake Windermere is just over a mile's walk away and there's plenty to entertain everyone: pack a picnic and enjoy a stroll along the lake shore, hire a boat - or let someone else do the hard work and hitch a ride on the launch for a majestic cruise round the lake. Neighbouring Bowness has a cinema, museums and even more shops and eateries. All this within a few minutes' of your front door. If you did fancy venturing further afield, there's plenty to see and do. Families will love a day at Brockhole, from the tree top trek to archery and mini golf there's something for everyone here. Why not head north to Keswick, a scenic 25-mile drive away? Walkers will love it here. There's a great selection of outdoor shops for stocking up on gear and a wealth of popular Wainwrights achievable from the town centre. As the name might suggest, this is the perfect cottage for those looking for somewhere to retreat to after exploring everything that Windermere has to offer straight from your doorstep. From the traditional Lakeland stone fronted exterior to the bright stylish accommodation on offer, there's nothing not to like about this cottage. Head inside and downstairs you'll find a super modern kitchen. Well equipped with everything you'd expect for a self catering stay: there's a double oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and useful washer/dryer.There's even a Krups Nespresso coffee machine (please rememer to bring your own pods) for that morning brew. The open-plan living/dining room is a wonderful social space. Gather round the dining table and catch up on the day's adventures over a leisurely meal. Retire to the living area and unwind in front of the cosy wood burner. Curl up with a good book or simply watch the world go by from the room's feature bay window. Onwards and upwards to explore the rest of this charming cottage. On the first floor is the first of the two super king bedrooms; a gorgeous room that wouldn't look out of place in a stylish boutique hotel. Children of all ages will love the snug! Escape from a rainy afternoon in here, sink into the inviting corner sofa and relax with a film or your favourite TV series. The family bathroom can only be described as 'luxurious'. All tastes are catered for here: from the separate monsoon shower for invigorating tired muscles after a day on the fells, to the free-standing designer roll-top bath for those who prefer a more leisurely soak. The second floor is home to the second king-size bedroom (this room can also be made up as twins upon request). Just as beautiful as the first, you'll feel instantly at home here. To the rear of the cottage is a delightful enclosed patio. With a table and chairs it's the perfect spot for an al fresco drink and nibbles.
