The gorgeous Shropshire Hills National Landscape also starts around 10 miles north, opening up more opportunities for scenic exploration. Further afield, discover picturesque Welsh villages and market towns such as Hay-on-Wye (19.5 miles), known for its bookshops and literary festival.
