Approached via some external steps the lodge features a bright and tastefully furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a cosy and restful living area with plenty of seating, beautiful views, an attractive dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. There's also a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom. Stepping outside onto the decked terrace you can relax in the private hot tub which features an inbuilt iPod dock with speakers. There's also plenty of garden furniture on the terrace so you can enjoy a family meal. The grounds include a fun children's play area. Just a couple of miles away is the thriving town of Okehampton, which is a fantastic base from which to explore many of the most popular walks in the area. The lodge is located on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, famed for its rugged landscapes and breathtaking views, with landmarks including Castle Drogo (17 miles), Higher Tor (5.5 miles) and Meldon Quarry (1 miles). Local attractions include Lydford Gorge (11.5 miles), Roadford Lake and Mam Tor.
