A sweet little property that’s wonderful for a couple or solo traveller, thoughtfully decorated and with horses as your next-door neighbours! It’s on the outskirts of Beccles, a charming market town close to the Suffolk border and the southern gateway to the Broads National Park. Locally, nature enthusiasts can organise day boat hire or guided tours on the River Waveney, which runs alongside the town. Keen walkers may choose to take on the Beccles Marsh Trail (1.5 miles). This charming dwelling was once the servant's quarters of a beautiful stately home and has been renovated into stylish holiday accommodation. Inside, a lilac, white and black colour scheme creates a striking appearance, with decorative details like wall lights and artwork adding to the allure. The bright open-plan living area has a good-sized kitchen at one end and a breakfast bar for perching with snacks and coffees, along with a dining table for sit-down meals. There’s so much to do nearby – you could visit the popular aviation museum (7 miles) or absorb some local history at the Grade I-listed Bigod Castle (5.5 miles). For a traditional seaside day, head to Lowestoft or Southwold (both within 12 miles). Norwich (18.5 miles) offers a taste of city life with its theatres, shops and cultural attractions.
