Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are two legendary Lakeland sights within 9 miles, and no visit is complete without visiting one of the pretty villages nearby. Hawkshead boasts cobbled streets and a pleasing array of shops, eateries and local landmarks, 4.5 miles away, but Bowness-on-Windermere is not to be missed for retail therapy and delicious local fare, 14.5 miles away.
