Escape to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and call this converted barn home for a while. With the beautiful beach at Charmouth less than a mile from your door, spend days enjoying traditional bucket-and-spade days before returning home to relax and unwind. The open-plan living space is perfect for socialising and the French doors take you outside to the patio where you can enjoy al fresco feasts and sundowners. Sleeping six across three bedrooms, invite family or friends away on a magical break. Make yourselves at home in the lounge/diner where you are invited to sink down into comfortable, reclining sofas and spend time in front of the TV or with a good book in hand. Pile the coffee table high with treats or wait until dinner time when you can plate up at the dining table and tuck into a feast. Preparing delicious meals is a fun task in the light kitchen where you have all the room you need to get a few pairs of hands on deck. If you have energy to burn off or you fancy a relaxing afternoon, visit the neighbouring holiday park where you have use of the shared facilities including the pool, sauna, gym and play area which is great for little ones. When it’s time to head to bed, climb stairs to the first floor where care must be taken with the quirky, sloping ceilings and the bedrooms await. The master king-sized bedroom is treated to an en-suite, whilst the pair of twin rooms share the first-floor family bathroom and the ground-floor wet room. There is ample off-road parking. For a clifftop hike or a good old stretch of the legs, travel 4 miles to the National Trust’s Golden Cap Estate, a great starting point for a plethora of walks with outstanding views. Below the Golden Cap itself sit the beaches at West Bay, an iconic destination and a great place for a beach day and a portion of fish and chips. Closer to home, the beach at Charmouth is less than a mile away and is a good spot for fossil hunting.
